A model project by Berliner Obdachlosenhilfe e.V.
At the end of 2024, we’re kicking off our first housing project. This will let us quickly and easily provide housing for homeless and housing-insecure individuals from our client base who have little chance on the housing market.
Right now, a commercial space is being converted into residential space. We’re creating a shared apartment of about 200m², which will have room for four people. Each person will get their own lease for two years, for 1-2 rooms with a private bathroom. The kitchen will be shared, so there’s space to socialize but also plenty of room for privacy.
Along with the housing, future residents will receive professional, comprehensive, and tailored counseling and support. The goal is to stabilize and sustainably improve the residents’ living situations and help them secure their own (permanent) housing during this time.

Do you want to support our project?
Every donation helps!
Your donations help us pay for things like the salaries of our social workers and the support services for the residents of Bahnhof E.I.N.S. They also help us get the apartment ready so that the first people can move in as soon as possible. We need to buy materials for construction work like painting and flooring, set up the communal kitchen, and furnish the living areas. Plus, we always have ongoing costs for things like furniture and moving expenses.
We’re trying to organize most of the work with our volunteers. If you want to join in, just get in touch with Anni.
